Hi Allison its along time since we went camping ,we did when the kids were young I think the main thing is not to take loads of clothes with you just wash t-shirts and underwear through daily,We just came back from 3 months touring France Spain and Portugal I took loads of clothes the first week they ended up in black bags packed away under the seats lol We used t-shirts shorts and i washed them through each day .I also took loads of food i didn't use .I bought some microfiber towels they were great pack small and dry easy just rinse them through and they dry in no time.

My brother had the those bags but they got snagged in th boot and burst so be careful. Another thing to remember is that you will not have a vacuum when you are away. We did have a similar thing, these bags had small valves at the end and once you zipped them up you rolled the bags up to squeeze out the air. I will have a look and see if I can find out the name. I know we got them from Wilkinson's.

We must have had 8 of the vacuum bags and so far only one worked pity it's a great idea
What we do is Steph packs then I go in and chuck out at least 50% and she still comes back with stuff she hasn't worn
