From reading around it would appear that every one has heard of the Sterling, pathfinder etc but very few know about the new Continental. Pennine brought this model out in October 2005 they did say it was a limited edition and would only build 30, ours is number 128 so looks like they decided it was going to sell. The idea behind the Continental was for those who already had a Tent or TT and all the usual gear could now change to an FC keep a lot of their gear and save around 2k on the price of the cheapest FC. This was done by leaving out items such as Electric both 230v and 12v, Wardrobe, Fridge and some trimmings (Plastic A frame cover etc). The Continental is based on Pennines Sterling and so is a 6 birth with plenty of room. Due to the price and the fact that we already had EHU and 3 way fridge this allowed us to buy a new FC. Not having a wardrobe is no problem as there are 5 cupboards, 2 under seat storage boxes plus a largish front box. For weekends there is more than enough room for the three of us so no need to set up the Awning (a god send for me). All in all we are more than pleased with it and can now get away at weekends in no time at all and towing is not a problem due to the size I can even see using the interior mirror. The quality of finish on the Continental is just the same as all of Pennines goods.
